Way Pocket ("the App") is a travel expense tracking app. Your expense data is designed to stay entirely on your device — we do not operate any servers and do not collect your personal data ourselves. The App displays ads provided by Google AdMob, and in the course of serving ads, Google and its partners collect certain device data as described below.
We collect none ourselves. The App does not require an account, login, or sign-up. It does not ask for your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information, and we have no servers that receive your data.
However, our advertising partner (Google AdMob) collects certain data on your device to serve and measure ads. See "Advertising" below.
All of your app data — trips, expenses, categories, and settings — is stored only on your device using local on-device storage (SQLite). This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or any server we control. Your expense records are never shared with advertisers.
The App shows ads served by Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google. To serve and measure ads, prevent fraud, and (where you have consented) personalize ads, Google may collect and process data such as:
This data is collected and processed by Google under its own privacy policy:
Your choices:
The App fetches currency exchange rates from a public, third-party exchange-rate service (Currency API, delivered via the jsDelivr CDN). These requests contain only currency codes (for example, "USD" or "KRW") and no personal information. As with any internet request, your device's IP address is visible to the service provider delivering the data; we do not receive, store, or use it.
Other than advertising (Google AdMob) described above, the App does not use any analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting services.
We do not sell or share your data — we do not collect any. Data collected by Google AdMob for advertising is processed by Google and its advertising partners under their own policies, as described in the "Advertising" section.
Because all app data lives on your device, you can delete it at any time by removing individual entries within the App, or by uninstalling the App, which permanently removes all associated data. To reset advertising data tied to your device, use the OS-level controls described in "Your choices" above (reset or delete your advertising identifier).
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.
If our data practices change (for example, if we add user accounts or subscriptions), we will update this policy and the app-store privacy details before those features are released.
